This game is legitimately fun. It reminds me of what a good 007 game could be- a quality stealth FPS. The upgrade system is great and the sense of achievement and exploration are certainly present. It's just that this game features quite possibly the most bland, uninspired visual styles of any game ever. Why is everything washed in a golden light, making the game essentially monochromatic? More than anything, It would seem to attempt to cover up an art direction that is childishly posturing what the future could look like while having no understanding of what anything in the PRESENT looks like. And don't even get me started on the plot, which contains all the excitement and espionage of a C-SPAN debate regarding the regulation of plastic surgery. Snooze. Deus Ex aims its philosophical sights high and misses the mark: a dangerous proposition that makes the game seem hopelessly dumb at times. It is still a good time sneaking around killing Matrix rejects bu don't expect to have your mind expanded in any way. Also, screw you montage of stock footage ending! What is this, Metal Gear Solid 2?
