Shantae: Risky's Revenge borrows many elements from the Castlevania series and turns them into a cartoon format.The whimsical art style and the animation is wonderful to watch. The bosses are also surprisingly challenging. It's not the best Metroidvania adventure around, but Shantae's colorful art style sets this game apart as an original gem like no other.
