This is very hard for me to review. When Brawl came out, everyone went crazy for it, but now that the hype's died down it's been looked at more negatively. The same applies to me. The items and stages just got too wacky in this version of Smash, and detract from the experience rather than improve it. Subspace Emissary is a waste of 8 hours, and I don't like the slower gameplay as much as that of Melee's and Smash 64's, plus the characters don't move fluidly, destroying the sense of immersion. The modes are also not as good since target test is the same for every character, same with all-star and classic mode, but I liked the stage builder. It can still be fun, but don't expect a classic.
