The beginning of gaming's most beloved franchise, and Nintendo could stand to learn a thing or two from it nowadays. The game throws you into a world and you have to explore for yourself; no hand holding. Playing this game as a kid opened up my mind and even just finding little secrets on my own was amazing. In fact no other game has ever rekindled that same sense of wonder and exploration as well as the first Zelda. It was remarkable at the time and still very playable today. Long live Zelda!
