A classic in every sense of the word. Super Mario Bros. is exactly what one looks for in a video game: colorful and imaginative environments, fair difficulty, great play-control, awesome soundtrack, and gameplay that defines the term "fun factor." After the horrendous Video Game Crash of 1983, the industry needed its Moses to lead the rest out of obscurity and irrelevance. You can give SMB credit for pretty much every game that was released thereafter. It's the only game that, in my opinion, deserves a perfect score simply because it saved the industry it was classified in, regardless of how much you enjoy playing it. And besides, it's a damn good game in its own right.
