    "Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person role-playing game.."

    Nope, I'm out!

Editing … I think it looks awesome, personally. The first-person view doesn't bother me at all, and the gameplay and world building look incredible. I honestly think I could end up liking it more than Witcher 3, since I'll almost certainly at least like the combat a lot more.

Editing … @Husky Wing I've seen absolutely nothing of this game except the E3 trailer. I didn't care enough to look into it. But the first-person perspective has ensured I'll not be buying this one.

Editing … Personally, I want this game to be as immersive as possible, and first-person helps me with that. The damage counters and occasional bullet spongeyness might be a problem, but videos of gunplay often don't reflect how it really feels in-game.

Editing … I'm dark on almost all ganes now. I just don't have the time. Although I am now going to have a morning commute for the first time, so I can begin to catch up on the industry soon. It's been an absolute slog, but I finally feel like my life is in balance again.

Editing … I've always felt that a first-person perspective prevents me from being immersed in a game's world. I don't feel like I am "in it" and instead just viewing it through a screen. When I can see an avatar on screen it helps me to role-play as that person and feel fully immersed. I also dislile any and all platforming involving first-person, as you have no idea of the positioning of the character's limbs/body. I also feel it gives you a really limited field of view and instantly makes me disinterested in the environments. Huds, if used take up far more real estate in first-person games too, again due to this limited field of vision.
