Lots of YouTubers complain about the shitty comments algorithm. You can click a dropdown menu to sort chronologically. It just works.

You know what is shit though? The new layout. I'm on the old layout still, and won't be clearing my cookies anytime soon. Keeping the compact desktop design as long as I can. I'm not on a tablet, I don't need touchscreen buttons, noty.
