Man, talk about a slow burn. Texas Chainsaw Massacre starts as an innocent hippie road trip film, but then things slowly slip downhill from there. The college kids in the minivan run into a creepy hitchhiker who just happens to stab someone in the van. Sure it's gruesome, but that nowhere near as bad as what happens when the kids stop at an abandoned house. They get picked off, one after another. By the time the last victim gets captured, I was glued to the edge of my seat. Texas Chainsaw is one hell of a thrill ride.
