Editing … I haven't played Dragon Quest before (but I own the first two now!!1), and DQXI looks mighty impressive... on 3DS, especially :p

Editing … They might not be everyone's cup of tea but they are great if you want a straightforward old-school epic fantasy RPG. Like if I had to describe it, it is the standard or baseline JRPG. And the games are well made with huge worlds and imaginative quests and stories. And great designs by Akira Toriyama. To me it is a really pure and refreshing experience but a lot of people are like "ugh menus" and all that.

Editing … The two that I own are on a Gameboy Color compilation together. Which version of the games are your preferred ones?

Editing … okay it looks like, in english, the only releases are NES, GBC, mobile. I probably knew this before I bought the cartridge, and then forgot it later on. That's usually what happens when I buy these types of games.

Editing … The GBC version is probably better to play nowadays, they streamlined the experience a bit and let you save anywhere. Plus RPGs are a lot of fun on the road!

Editing … I've gathered quite a few portable JRPGs, I just... haven't... played.... hmm. Oh, I have FF1 & 2 on PS1, are those better on that platform, or on whichever Gameboy they were released for?
