Titus Andronicus's third album is like a throwback to the old styles of rock, back when bands used analog recording equipment. Every part of this album, including the cover, is like a trip to the 60s. In a punk rock format. Sure, the lyrics are as baffling as ever, but singer Patrick Stickles' brash tone is incredibly poetic. Titus Andronicus might remain stuck on concept albums, but the point is that they do it well. And this is their best effort to date.
