This was the album for everyone who had ignored Polly Jean Harvey at the beginning of her career. It's an epic travelogue about New York City in all it's beauty and flaws. Although the follow-up to Stories from the City didn't quite live up to the newcomers' expectations, we really couldn't expect anything less from the biggest chameleon in rock music. This showed off PJ Harvey at the top of the new wave of indie rock.
