Editing … The dedicated camera will have better image quality, especially when it comes to moving objects or anything that isn't very well-lit. The larger sensors allow the camera to take lovely photos in low-light areas, and you'd also have the optical zoom (as opposed to digital zoom, which is just stretching the pixels). Dedicated cameras generally have more versatility when it comes to focusing on objects as well, and smartphones often aren't able to focus on objects that are too close. A camera's battery also lasts longer. Someone pursuing photography would also prefer the manual control offered by a dedicated camera. If you're taking pics for instagram or snapchat, just use your phone. These advantages even apply to cheaper cameras, by the way.

Editing … You're not making a movie you're just taking photos and uploading them to your social media account. But because you have a lot of money and want to engage in conspicuous consumption, you'll buy a dedicated camera, a PC, and a smartphone, take the pictures with the camera, transfer them to the PC, and post them to Facebook where everyone will have assumed the photo was taken with a smartphone anyway. My 2013 windows phone, 2014 Motorola, and my sister's iPhone 5S takes better photos than any dedicated digital camera we've owned in the past. (including Sony and Canon)

Editing … Why stop at owning a dedicated camera, why not two dedicated cameras? so you can take pictures with one, then transfer the pictures to the other, before transferring them to a PC and then to a smartphone and then back to the camera. Also, take both dedicated cameras with you wherever you go, because you never know when you'll need the strengths of one over the other. (e.g. one would be low light, the other for wide shots)

Editing … I don't have a Facebook. Why would you have two cameras for different lighting and shots? That's what lenses and flash are for, but any good sensor will allow for all lighting conditions. If you knew even a little bit about what you were talking about, you never would've made any one of your posts in this thread.

Editing … Yes but with the intent of developing said photos. With a digital camera you don't get them developed, effectively making the camera a coffin for image files that must be either pushed to the web or another device before they can serve any purpose.
