At one of the lowest points of my life, Audioslave blew me out of the water. The band seemed like a mismatched combination, but the first single, "Cochise," set everyone's minds at ease. It was almost like a grunge revival from heaven--the enigmatic lyrics of Chris Cornell brought out the creative extremes of Tom Morello and the other band members. In the uncertain future of post-9/11 America, Audioslave took us out of the doldrums with funky, fantastic hard rock. F*** yeah.
