Playing some The Last of Us today. Survivor mode is tense. I'm not actually dying that much more than I did back in my first playthrough on Normal though. Practice is everything. It helps a lot that the checkpoints are so generous, and that allies give you health and ammo if you're low, and that the baddies have TERRIBLE eyesight. There were multiple parts I was scared of doing on Survivor where I only died once.
