There was the seed of a good idea here, but it needed more work. The level design is generally decent, but not great, and I don't think dividing each level up into small chunks helped matters. The way your dragon changes jumping physics for the last two forms is a bit annoying, and I wish I had the option of slowing down my jump in the last form instead of the dragon just doing that automatically every time. And if you manage to upgrade your dragon fully, the game turns into a cakewalk, which isn't what you want for a game no longer than a single world in Mario 3 or Mario World. The worst surprise was the music. Some tracks are really grating, which is the last thing I expected out of a Masaya product.

Still, I wouldn't call this a bad game. It's cute, and everything about it works (aside from some of the music). Like it's a competent game, but it had the potential to be something special. There are better platformers on this console that will cost you less. There's no reason to get this over the first two Bonk games or Momotaro Katsugeki.
