I put this down after the first few chapters (Conquest), mainly cause I didn't like the characters or the gameplay that much. But I started it up again, and wow I'm impressed at just how difficult Hard/Classic actually is. I just beat Chapter 10 and it felt very satisfying having to actually think of a strategy, this is comparable to Awakenings first Lunatic mode.
