A game I will always keep in my top 10, it was the first console game I ever completed, and is one of the few games I've beaten over 10x. It's a true masterpiece in my opinion and definitely deserves its spot in the 'Favorite Video Games' list. But I can easily understand why some dislike it, or think it's boring. Especially if it's their first time playing it in these times where there's games like Dark Souls and the Witcher 3 etc.

Editing … I do like OOT a lot but my favorite Zelda goes to Majora's Mask. I do have a lot of respect for OOT for its innovations and I still need to play the 3DS remake that I bought. I don't find it boring at all. Maybe a little overrated, if only because I'm around a lot of people who try to convince me that it should be my "absolute favorite" but it's a game I do play a lot. I can tell you have good memories with it though.

Editing … I find it boring once I get stuck on a puzzle. As a kid I would have hated it. The music and atmosphere are nice though, and it's visually impressive for 1998.

Editing … I still need to finish Majora's Mask, I got to the 3rd dungeon and then stopped and never came back to it for w/e reason (I should probably get back to that). But I liked it, from what I've played. As for Eggs comment, back then I had alot more patience for puzzles and even found them fun. But nowadays I rely more on music, atmosphere, and gameplay mechanics to keep me entertained. Although I still really enjoy the clever puzzles/riddles in Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

Editing … Yeah, I liked Silent Hill puzzles cause often the explanation was written down, you just had to take the time to understand it.

Editing … OoT is my favorite for the precise reason that I've basically never gotten stuck or confused in the way I did with the other games. I don't seek a cakewalk or anything, but all of the games that came after have at least one part that stumps me for hours until I look it up, like that bit in Wind Waker where you have to swing through the waterfall where the music was playing. Twilight Princess has so many of those moments that I've never finished it, and with the massive gaps that have gone between revisiting it, it's unlikely I'll ever return to it and remember what the hell I was supposed to be doing. OoT has always carried me through to the end with its intuitive world structure, puzzles that challenge without frustrating, and sublime pacing.
