Well guys, Vita piracy is happening. First to market was TeamFreek's Vitamin Omega game dumper/decrypter. It leaked by a friend of the staff 10 hours ago and it's not the official 1.0 release, but it works and you can now dump your games and distribute them for all to play using the HENkaku homebrew launcher.

    List of known releases:

    Zero Time Dilemma
    DanganRonpa
    DanganRonpa 2
    Odin Sphere Leiftrasir
    Hatsune Miku Project Diva X
    Superbeat Xonic
    Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart
    OlliOlli 2
    Assassin's Creed III Liberation
    Jet Set Radio
    Atelier Totori+
    Everybody's Golf
    Tokyo Xanadu
    Adventure Time
    Unit 13
    Risk of Rain
    Binding of Isaac Rebirth

EDIT: The list of course now much larger. You can keep track of them here: https://www.reddit.com/r/VitaPiracy/comments/508e9e/megathread_all_vita_dumps/

In other Vita news, Valkyria: Azure Revolution was just announced to be getting a Vita release in addition to its PS4 release. If only they'd known...

I personally don't do much piracy myself, but as the system nears the end of its life, a#P.T.ames get pulled from PSN (which happens on a regular basis for one reason or another), and physical copies might be non-existent or prohibitively expensive, it's nice to have an open system. This is how one day P.T. will be made playable again for those who don't still have it installed. It sucks for any new games still coming out, and it could cause Japanese devs to sooner make the jump to NX than they would've otherwise, but it's a good thing for video game preservation in the long run.
