As the pay-off for the previous instrumental track "No Memory" on the album "Core" by Stone Temple Pilots, "Sin" attempts to tap into the rantings of a crazed addict who is tormented by his relationship to both religion and substance. One of the less melody-driven tracks on the album, "Sin" is more of a cry for help that allows the listener to croon along with Core's overall consistent tones of regret and remorse.
