Martin the Warrior is a fantasy novel by Brian Jacques, published in 1993. It is the sixth book in the Redwall series. It is also one of the three Redwall books to be made into a TV show. Badrang the Tyrant has his eyes set on ruling over his own empire and will do anything to make sure that his ultimate fantasy is fulfilled. Little does he realize that the quiet, nameless mouse he is holding captive will one day grow to be the legendary Martin the Warrior. Martin the Warrior tells the story of a young mouse named Martin, a slave in Marshank under the cruel stoat Badrang the Tyrant. When Badrang leaves Martin to be tortured by the weather and the birds, a young mousemaid named Laterose, or Rose (whom Martin falls in love with) and a mole named Grumm hear his cry of defiance.
