New Marais is so colorful and industrially varied, unlike Empire City wherein every region looked and felt about the same. Not only is navigation made better by a more diverse environment, but also by better core gameplay. Cole moves so fluidly and none of his powers ever stop being fun to use. The Karma system diverts into two distinct experiences not only in the awesome abilities earned, but also in pedestrians' attitudes...which are impressively realistic. The story presentation is fantastic thanks to improved motion capture (and general visual quality), likable dynamic characters who finally do more than just argue with one another, and a properly developed story. Applause to Sucker Punch, a studio that has regained my utmost respect.

Like Uncharted 2, this is more of a fun story. Unlike Uncharted 2, the endings are fucking depressing. inFAMOUS 2 is an awesome sandbox game that delivers a more focused tale than any of the GTA's (which I've never been too fond of, despite playing all of them to the end). Cole's adventure is an undeniably fun one with fun side characters and an awesome, X-Men-esque story to tether it all together.

inFamous 2 is a shockingly big step back from its predecessor. Aside from its striking graphics, virtually all other areas of the game took a beating. The main appeal of the original (the fluidity and joy of moving around the city) is gone. It's obvious that Sucker Punch had a far bigger budget for this sequel and that they tried to one-up each element of the original. Sadly, in doing that, they lost focus of what made the first one so special.
Pros: Highly impressive graphics with barely any technical hick-ups, some of the abilities are fun to use, cool implementation of user generated content, gameplay is competent...
Cons: ...albeit not that exciting or fun, bad story, terrible writing, weak voice acting, almost all characters are either annoying or unlikable, boring side quests that are repeated ad nauseam, combat and movement aren't as fluid as in its predecessor, insultingly black and white moral choices, weak and imprecise melee combat
