Saved!KlemoibEditing … Does not surprise me. China has a lot of influence over other countries. Take the Confucius Institute for instance that is affiliated with universities all over the world. They give lots o money to the foreign universities to be stationed there so it is appealing for universities to have these institutes present but these institutes also gather intell and steal research papers in the countries they are based in and they send the stolen research papers back home to china. Also the students are kept in check that they don’t develop “dangerous thought patterns”. And the students know this because then their families at home could be punished for their actions. We don’t have a Confucius Institute at my school but we did have a Chinese student who was very very afraid of saying anything about politics or China in general. I guess she thought she could be watched or something. Never seen someone so scared. But I guess a lot of countries have secret and illegal intelligence gathering in different countries. I guess China is just takes it very seriously.
