I tried Bowling and Tennis (Wii Sports Club is free for 24 hours). These games are exactly the same as the Wii Sports versions. The graphics are not impressive at all with horrible aliasing (it's most definitely 720p) and washed out textures. Nintendo also reduced the color palette so this game looks even more bland compared to the original. They did not add any significant features like hosting tournaments, it's a simple "free for all" match.

Now to the "awesome" online mode. I tried to play Tennis with my friend Dario. Not only ran this game in slow-motion, it also ran with amazing 5fps or so. It didn't work at all. Then we tried playing Bowling, which worked quite well and it even was a bit fun. Then we tried to play Tennis again but got a "black screen of death". Tennis doesn't seem to work on slow Internet connections like mine. Or Nintendo's server are just plain terrible.
Oh, and Double Tennis Matches don't work online.

Sometimes Nintendo's stupidity amazes me. They don't honestly think they can re-sell HD versions of mini-games which were released in 2006 with an online-mode slapped on for 9.99 each?! Nintendo can't even develop this game by themselves and they need the help of Namco Bandai Games?! Nintendo really believes this is going to sell some Wii U's? I can't believe they are wasting their time and energy with this.
I'm just... I'm speechless. This is almost as bad as the Wii Fit trainer in Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo, call me when you reduce the price from 9.99 to 1.99. Then I MIGHT be willing to pay for one or two of these mini-games.

Editing … Well, but this doesn't apply to the Wii U if you take a look at the recent financial reports xD http://www.vg247.com/2013/10/30/nintendo-q2-financials-300k-wii-u-consoles-sold-in-quarter-3ds-sales-down/ Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 also didn't sell well but that was predictable: http://wiiudaily.com/2013/10/iwata-on-wii-u-sales-pikmin-3/

Editing … Sell well, sell well. No, I didn't mean … eh. You said they can't re-sell old games with bad makeup. I'm saying, they can. They won't make a big profit as with a proper Mario game, but they're gonna make enough money to meet the production costs and still gain a little profit. Because there are people who buy it. Nintendo won't be making a loss with this game.

Editing … I think you're right; there are enough fanboys who'll fall for this. Nintendo also saves some costs because they release it digital-only. Still, even if they make a profit, they should put the effort into the bigger titles. Wii Sports Club won't save the Wii U.

Editing … I agree that Wii Sports Club won't do that. But apparently, Nintendo doesn't even aim to do that. If I'm understanding them correctly, they don't even consider the WiiU as doomed as you make it seem. … or they don't care.
