Watch_Dogs
Watch Dogs (stylized as WATCH_DOGS) is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It was released on 27 May 2014 for Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a Wii U version planned for release in the fourth quarter of 2014. Set within a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois, the single-player story follows a hacker and his efforts to seek revenge after the accidental death of his niece. The open world design lets players freely roam Chicago, which includes the urban city, open countryside and slums. The game is played from a third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle. Players control Aiden Pearce, a highly skilled grey hat hacker who can hack into the CtOS, a centralized system which manages the hyper-connected city of Chicago. Players can choose to play either against the law, or for it—as a criminal, or a vigilante. An online multiplayer mode is also p.. …

Saved! This has *such* a damn weird #online experience. So, I need PS+ to use online multiplayer? Fine, I didn't notice/remember, whatever. Then it's gonna be a SinglePlayStation for me now. That's "okay".
Yet, after finishing mission #5 or whatever I can now do those 1-on-1 infiltrations, after all? … Huh?
DO I or DON'T I have online multiplayer?! This is so confusing!-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … They probably made an exception for the 1-on-1 invasions. The game has many more multiplayer modes. Other games also made exceptions for multiplayer modes that felt necessary to the game.
-
Saved!WoodrowShigeruEditing … Undocumented exceptions = confusing.
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Driveclub and The Crew :D

I can't pay $8 for a season pass
I need my T-Bone expansion, man -
Husky Wing wrote his opinion about Watch_DogsSaved!Watch_Dogs is pretty damned underrated.
The city's far more interesting than anything provided by GTA, the hacking's great fun, and though the driving controls had a learning curve, they weren't difficult to master. Seriously, those driving controls are tight. They're built perfectly for dense environments and narrow streets, and my mastery of them did make the multiplayer fun :p
The multiplayer! It's just the best! Online invasions provided some of the most fun MP I've seen--you sneak into someone else's game, disguised as an NPC, and hack the hell out of them (as opposed to regular hacks?). The more often you hack others, the more often you'll be targeted--and only one player has successfully hacked me, after 32 hours 8-)
But one of the things I love most about Watch_Dogs isn't the thrills it can provide, but the chill. I've spent hours strolling through the city, admiring the sights. If I'm not walking, I'm going for a relaxing ride on the train system.
Fucking love those trains.-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Had to cut corners since I reached the character limit. I can't edit it without deleting the whole post, or it randomly removes text (looks like it keeps the likes though)
-
Saved! Not ImportantEditing … The trains randomly stop, the cars bug through each other and none of the guns have weight. I usually pretty much agree with you, but now I have to say: HYI
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … I didn't like the "light" gun feeling (I have a fondness for heavy pistols), but I had reached my character limit. I never experienced any clippings bugs, or anything wrong with the trains. From my experience, they only stop if the player parks a vehicle in front of them, which isn't a problem when just riding around. If a train randomly stops with no obvious cause, I'd suspect a player invasion :D
-
Saved! Not ImportantEditing … Maybe I just played it at an unstable state. The best moment in the game was when I was driving away from some thugs and "Move On Up" started playing. It suited the moment so well. Then I got out of the car, Move On Up still playing, and shot everyone. Glorious.
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … The online hacking was so much fun. There's an OP sniper in the game, it leaves a car immobile in one shot. If I saw an abnormal car in my game, I shot it, and then the driver. When I invaded other people's games, I used it to cause a traffic mess, leaving me with lots of cover to dodge around. Also, NPCs don't drive motorcycles, which is a dead giveaway for players.
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … I didn't play much deathmatch, but I had fun with the little bit I played. Don't intend to try it again though. Online hacking is where it's at 8-)
-
Saved!Rich .Editing … It's weird there's a character limit for reviews even though there's no such limit for regular statuses. To me the game looks a bit too GTA 4 but my mate offered to lend it to me so I'll maybe play it when I get the time.

Saved! This game looks absolutely amazing with mods! Sometimes it almost looks photorealistic.
The power of the PC 8-) -
Saved! This first time I played this game was with my uncle, while at my cousins' house. We decided to let him play, because he wanted to.
The first thing he does? He tries to find the neighborhood he lives in. Spoiler alert: it's not in the game, although all the major roads are very much like the real ones.
The things you can do in a video game set in the town you live in...-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Once Fallout 4 comes out, I'm visiting all of my favorite places in Boston. I wonder if that planetarium will function...
-
Saved!NodleyEditing … I want a game set in Hull! In European Truck Driver 2 I can drive past my house and drive over the Humber Bridge but there's only one road through Hull, it's really basic.
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Is there a word similar to "nationalist," but for hometowns instead of countries?
-
-
Saved!I'm really enjoying this game! It's a lot like GTA, but with things to actually do in the open world. Oh, and the multiplayer is fucking kickass.
Despite the graphical downgrade after E3, this game still looks amazing (though I am playing on max settings, +a little modification to an XML file)-
Saved!NodleyEditing … Yay, another fan. I really like it, but I could never finish it due to one mission being impossible.
-
Saved!Husky WingEditing … Oh, I've... only done the first two story missions (one being the opening of the game)... and I've played for over 12 hours

Saved!Spider-Tank, Spider-Tank. Does whatever a Spider-Tank does. Can it swing from a web? No it can’t, it’s a tank. Look ooout, it’s a Spider-Tank.
-
Saved!Gries HeEditing … press up on the dpad to open your phone, there you can launch a couple of very fun saint's row inspired mini games: 1) you're in a spider tank that can climb buildings and you have to destroy everything in town before time runs out, 2) aiden's high on drugs and he's literally flying through town. your goal is bounce off giant flowers that are spread throught the city, 3) in the next mini game you have to sneak past guards to liberate certain parts of the map, 4) there's also a parcour minigame where you have to collect augmented reality coins in game, it's very well made, 5) and the last minigame that is accessible from your ingame phone is basically a carmageddon/twisted metal clone: you're in a car and have to drive over everything that is in your path.

Saved!Watch Dogs Wii U shifts almost no copies at launch:
http://www.pixeldynamo.com/news/gaming/2014/11/25/40909/watch-dogs-shifts-almost-no-copies-wii-u-launch/
According to GFK, the game has placed 14th in the Wii U charts. Even Fifa 13 is above Watch Dogs.
It's Ubisoft's own fault though. This game does not use the GamePad in any meaningful way (according to this review: http://www.ibtimes.com/watch-dogs-wii-u-review-merely-afterthought-ubisoft-video-1728639), it does not have the DLC other versions have and it costs $60 ($20 more than the PS360/PC version). And let's not forget that they delayed it for 6 months so anyone who wanted the game probably already got it on other systems.-
Saved!NodleyEditing … It's got a mature rating so no Nintendo Wii U owners can actually buy it behehehe
-
Saved!benace75Editing … I think most Wii U owners are actually older gamers who have been longtime Nintendo fans. It seems that younger demographic mostly plays Xbox and mobile games from my knowledge.
-
Saved!NodleyEditing … Wait, mature people actually CHOSE a Wii U and paid for it themselves with their own hard earned money? This is the last straw, I'm retiring from society and off to live alone in the woods where it's less scary.
-
Saved!rockshard PhDEditing … "It's Ubisoft's own fault though" lol. comedy gold. I'm sure there were freakin lines forming around stores of people holding up dollars to buy the WiiU version, but everyone immediately dispersed when it was tweeted that the game... gasp... doesn't use the gamepad well. And everyone who bought the game for PS/Xbox/PC totally would have bought it for WiiU if only the WiiU version used the gamepad well! All sales of Watch Dogs should be counted as WiiU sales, if you really think about it!

Saved! So there is some Wii U Watch Dogs DLC after all.
