Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It is the sequel to the 2007 game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It was first shown and announced on December 1, 2008.     Still a fun romp all these years later, now I've got the plats for 1 & 2 in the HD collection. Moved onto U3 tonight.

    I'd forgotten how good the pacing of this game is, it's a rollercoaster of crazy moments with some of the best set pieces. For the most part you are semi-free to move during these crazy moments (falling bridge, crumbling house etc.) rather than just watching it happen passively in a fully scripted sequence.

    I still can't get over how good the game looks though. Uncharted 2 and Far Cry 4 share similar looking assets because of their locations, and Uncharted 2 actually looks better than FC4, a PS4 game, which is ridiculous. They squeezed so much tech into the engine and yet the game is one of the most stable.

    It's an amazing looking game, with great pacing, great acting, and great music, the gameplay isn't at the same level though. I'm not sure how they can make the combat more fun, but the enemies move less like retarded primates having a stroke, which is a huge improvement over the first game!

      Editing … Amazing game but yeah as a shooter it's good gameplay but not enough to be a strong point. The enemies soak damage a bit too much and the weapons aren't that interesting. Looks like they're going to make you keep moving/climbing while shooting a bit more in U4 and let you switch between combat and stealth so that'll be cool.

We're also still fairly early into the PS4's life. Personally, I don't like U2's rollercoaster of crazy moments style pacing, but that's just me being weird.

      Editing … Yeah I dunno what the magic formula is but Uncharted games just look crazy good. The only graphics on PS3 I like more than Uncharted's were Journey's.

      Editing … Naughty Dog know how to make a good looking game. The spectacle of Uncharted 2 was mind-blowing when I first saw it and the set-pieces are still thrilling today. I can't wait to see what they do with Uncharted 4. Especially after the Last of Us, which also blew me away both graphically and pacing-wise

      Editing … I thought so too until I loaded the remaster on PS4. I'll try to keep playing them side by side but so far Uncharted's environments are a more detailed and varied, whereas people are more detailed in TLOU. I really want to get the Uncharted collection now too...

    Well, playing these back to back really shows how large the gap in quality is between the first two games. My memory had really understated the leap in graphics and control; Nate actually moves precisely so far instead of sprinting like a crazed duck, and the amount of tech they squeezed into the PS3 is voodoo.

    Well, Uncharted 2 is okay. The graphics look pretty. Some of the chase sequences gave me an adrenaline rush. However, every section is a never-ending sequence of hiding, shooting and climbing. Rinse and repeat. I still had a blast, but it really should've been shortened by two hours or so.

    It looks good, it plays good. But it is not flawless. Who thought it was a good idea to put armies, soldiers with rpgs, chopters and even tanks to kill a single guy? I know Drake is a badass, but that's just too much. Even the character itself jokes about that. The exploration sections are pretty good, the "cover and shoot" sections are not. It gives me headache. The shooting controls are great, but having entire armies trying (and failing) to kill a single guy in a game is just ridiculous. I wish they put more effort on the stealth part, it had a lot of potential.

    The game starts with one of the greatest moments in gaming history. But after that, it's just climax after climax and it's just impossible to be impressed after that beginning. The final boss and ending are better than in the first game though.

    Awesome. Awesome Awesome Awesome Holy hell I can't believe this games... I finished and then started to play the game all over again that day. why because this games was that good..
