I'm back. My Mt. Magazine trip wasn't as good as my Silver Dollar City trip (which I posted about on this page), but it was okay.

    The good:
    - There was a hot tub. Hot tubs are cool.
    - Lots of impressive scenery. Seeing hawks and clouds below my eye level was neat. We walked to the highest point in Arkansas. At one point I saw four or five deer at once.
    - Good food, though at times I overstuffed myself.
    - On Tuesday I got SEVEN perfects in Rhythm Heaven. Only three left! Also enjoyed some Pokemon Sun.
    - The cabin was nice.

    The bad:
    - My sleeping conditions weren't great and I'm picky. By the end of the first night I was exhausted and miserable and really missing my room, though things got better.
    - My parents are just really boring people. I can't talk to them about whatever like my friends.
    - Pretty sure I left some clothes when we left the cabin. Dammit.
    - Long drives wear a dude out.

So, my trip! We drove from Springdale to Branson Friday morning. I had a motel room to myself for the first time ever. I don't generally watch cable so that was refreshing for a change. I hate commercials so I muted those. I watched a bunch of Family Feud and Star Trek The Next Generation. However, the mattress was shitty and I often woke up sore. Our big thing on Friday was going to the landing, an outdoor mall. At a wonderful shop called Earthbound I bought a big blue moth in a glass case, which I'm thinking of hanging over my bed, and a gorgeous semi-trippy tee shirt. We also played laser tag, which I'd never done before and enjoyed, it's a clever game. The next day we went to Silver Dollar City. It was pleasantly dorky, especially the man in the dunk tank, who acted like an over the top Saturday morning cartoon character. I rode on a roller coaster for the first time ever. It was the wimpiest one that wasn't just for kids, Thunderation. I still strongly disliked it, I spent part of it taking short quick breaths, somewhat terrified. I would say I outright hated it if it hadn't been so mercifully short. I rode no exciting type rides after that, just a couple dorky things. I spent more time enjoying looking at all the wonderful things in the shops. I bought a little cheap adorable fox, a beanie baby type thing, which I adore. After much deliberation, I also bought a wonderful 70 dollar watercolor painting of a wolf howling at the moon. I'm thinking that will go in the living room. We ate at an all you can eat buffet, perhaps my most enjoyable food experience of the trip, though later that day we went to a delicious frozen custard place. We ate the hotel's free breakfast twice. The biscuits were yummy. Both times I had coffee, which I don't normally drink, but I wanted as much energy as possible. I also bought a bunch of overpriced chocolates. All told I spent almost 310 dollars. Overall it was a very good trip...

Even if I did spent half of it watching Kyle and Katie play Pokemon Go and waiting for them to keep moving.

Well, I finally got around to actually booking my flight, so now it's official. On Sep 18th I'll leave for Japan (for the Tokyo Game Show), followed by Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos (in that order, unless I make any adjustments). This'll be my longest #Backpacking trip yet at 16 weeks, and will increase my list of visited countries from 20 to 30. Should be fun. :P
