A sidequest that involves curing your boss of her hangover. See this is why I prefer Jrpgs over high-fantasy games like Elder Scrolls :p You can keep your elves and 'ye olde' english scripts.

Editing … Sense of progression in this game is awesome. No matter what you are doing, you are achieving something, be that stage ranks, new performa, new skills, new items, unlocking side stories. It's great :)

This game got me thinking; a lot of JRPG's have a 3 member party set-up. I sometimes find this a bit limiting and would prefer four. What is your guy's preferred set-ups? Do you even have a preference? :P

Editing … It doesn't matter to me really. Five might be too many. I kind of like three because it makes the battles go faster.

Editing … Like if an enemy has 1 HP left I hate hitting 'fight' for five different guys just to do that one last point of damage, I like a short turn cycle.

Editing … I like to have a healer, someone for buffs/debuffs/fixing status ailments, and at least one physical attacker. Having 4 people just means I can have two attackers, making battles go faster/smoother. It also means if I have a tough encounter, I can have two healers and still get some damage done.

Editing … As to what you said, I like games with a 'Turn Order'. This game has it, and so does #Final Fantasy X and #Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3/#Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4.

Editing … " I like to have a healer, someone for buffs/debuffs/fixing status ailments, and at least one physical attacker." Thanks silent. If I ever make an RPG I might keep this in mind. I have a healer, an attacker, and the genie and aladdin which are basically one char split into two. Aladdin supplies genie with offensive magic. But he can do other things which hopefully makes things really interesting. The genie might be like an engine you just have to rev up and after that it's go time!

Editing … I don't really care about the "party" size. I mostly play with three or four characters in JRPGs. I'd love to play with 8 characters though. Imagine playing with all characters in FFIX or FFX at once! I still remember searching for RPG Maker XP scripts that could enable 8 player battles but I couldn't find any.

Editing … ^ That would be interesting to see. I like the way #Breath of Fire IV did it. You had up to 6 characters separated into 'front row' and 'back row'. Your front row characters were the ones on-screen doing the actual fighting, while your back row characters were off-screen, slowly gaining HP/AP each round. Your back row characters cannot be targeted with attacks, but may be targeted by the player. They also occasionaly may perform an 'assist' attack. Party members can be swapped in and out of the back row at any time, and you can choose the order in which your characters attack. This essentially means that you have every character in battle with you at once. https://bigtallwords.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/bof-battle.jpg?w=1024&h=768
