#This Is Acting is a compilation of rejected songs that Sia wrote for other artists.The concept alone doesn't sound like it's going to lead to great album, and sadly, it really didn't.
The interesting result, though, is a album that's all over the place. A lot of these songs were written for Rihana and Beyoncé, so the stile mimics of those artists, but then you have songs like Move Your Body and the hilarious Sweet Design that completely shift the feel of the album. Sweet Design should be listened by it's ridiculousness alone, being a song writer for J-Lo.
I liked Sia's previous efforts, but this one ends up being pretty meh, with the exception of the opening track "Bird Set Free" and the second one, arguably the best one, Alive.
