I've worked on Zack's strength so much that his base strength AT LEVEL 1 is 164.

Editing … On my profile card, it say I'm an "increasingly dapper ultimate being" and "Get off my lawn." I like all the stuff you can edit on it and how much info there is. Because I versed a couple of people in Japan, I now know a lot about their progress through the game, which makes me feel a little more connected to a faraway place. Maybe lots of games do this sort of thing and I just didn't know, but it's neat. Once my characters are powerful-er, I'll do more online battles.

Editing … Okay, my hand is telling me to stop playing Theatrhythm. This game is addictive as hell. I've already put in over 20 hours. Got a third of the trophies.

I just did an online battle in Theatrhythm. The opponent had all level 99 characters so of course I lost, though not by a huge amount. It's only the second time I've ever done an online battle in anything, the first time was Mario Kart 7.

Oh. I beat it. I forgot that this was a game that could be beaten. I love how the bad guy becomes a party member. Good credits music. One of the designers was Monster Octopus apparently. Ok I REALLY like the credits music. These are some Babe level credits up in this bitch. This is awesome and stupid and heartwarming all at once. Good game. Total time sink, but good.

I think my biggest issue with this is the massive gap in difficulty between Expert Scores and Ultimate Scores. Here I am, doing a bunch of easy Expert levels to get my characters ready to handle Ultimates, and it's a tad boring. Another difficulty level in between would've been nice, or Expert levels being tougher (they're really not much worse than Basic Scores). I also wish I could trade the items I'll never use for something. And the game keeps telling me I've unlocked Change Byline stuff when I've seen no such thing.

Still, neat game. Nice visuals, obviously nice music, and the core gameplay is enjoyable when it's not too grindy. I like the abilities too, and using the cards to upgrade my characters' stats. It's an easy going, comfort food kinda game.

Editing … This game is so weird. Offense only really matters, in terms of winning or losing, when doing the final boss of a quest. Otherwise it just gets you more items/exp.

JESUS! I think I cleared that level in Theatrhythm with like 1 HP or something, and that was with two stat buffs and an auto-revive thingie. Ultimate Scores are so much harder than Expert Scores it's like they skipped a difficulty. It's like the game has difficulty levels 1, 2, and 5.

Editing … Theatrhythm Dragon Quest is a lot better (as it should be, considering it came out after this). Having a consistent art and music style just makes for a more cohesive package. FF is all over the place, and I find it very jarring to go from good stuff like the FF5 battle theme, to bad stuff like anything from the FF13 series. It also has much better campaign modes. There's the main campaign, the challenge campaign, and the sugoroku board game campaign. These are all actually completable. It's not like FF where they keep giving you randomly-generated maps, and you keep having to hear that awful FF13 final battle theme at end. Oh boy, the FF13 final boss battle. Everyone remembers that one. Anyway, it also has a job system that's just like the main games, meaning you can multiclass and mix-and-match abilities from all classes. Oh right, and it has abilities. Did FF even have those? Anyway, it's better. You should find a means to play it.

Editing … Yeah, FF has abilities. At first I was put off by the chibi art, but I like the graphics quite well as a while. I like how varied the music is. I don't remember hearing anything yet from FF13 I hated, the FF14 music is what's grated me the most, particularly this track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDEPwFmBQXM Just checked out the FFXIII final boss music, it's pretty bearable to me. I doubt I'll be trying Theatrhythm Dragon Quest unless maybe if it comes out in America.

Antarctic Winds are more powerful than Fuma Shurikens!? This game is cray cray. Fuma Shurikens were immensely powerful in FFV.

Beat my first Ultimate Music Score. This game is a hell of a time sink. You could probably put in as many hours as Skyrim.

    Copying this from blag.

The tutorials in Curtain Call really don't cover everything. I don't understand the point of the chocobo, or the point of what distance you go, or even the point of defeating enemies that aren't bosses. I think all that stuff helps you get items but the game never tells you. I might look up some info sometime. It's also hard to keep track of what each stat does.

EDIT: VIVI! My favorite Final Fantasy character! Imma level you the fuck up boy!

Edit2: Oh, Vivi has just the right stats to balance out my party too.

Edit3: Ha, Vivi just shot up from level 1 to 7. They grow up so fast.

Edit4: Glancing at a guide. Ok, defeating enemies and going distance does what I thought. Gives you more items, and also more exp.

Edit5: If you want to play this game right, you would have to do a LOT of tedious switching out of your party, due to different stats being useful in different modes. Thank God I don't care!

Edit6: I wish you could trade items for something. I'll never use some of them.

Edit7: Looks like I'll be making Zidane the leader due to how high agility works in EMS, they should've just made it full party like in BMS. I liked having Zack as the leader doe.

Editing … I might sound like I'm complaining a lot, but it's a neat game. It should've explained itself better, and you should be able to have multiple party layouts that are easy to change on the fly, but it plays nice and looks nice and sounds nice.
