Pete's personality changes so gradually over several episodes that at first a small part of you thinks maybe the suit can do some good. And then you get a bit of a vicarious power trip as he starts venting his frustration and stops letting people push him around. And when he takes Tombstone's offer you still feel sympathy for Pete because we've seen the extent of his family's financial struggles and he always tries to help out wherever he can. The only thing missing was a dorky dance number (not).
