I honestly don't see why anyone would even bother comparing Phantom Hourglass to its vastly superior sequel, Spirit Tracks. Visuals are noticeably improved with better mapping, more onscreen objects, and more detail in every other respect. Sound quality is far, far better, and there are several improvements in that department to go along with it: Voice acting (yes, I consider grunts and sighs voice acting, so shoot me) was surprisingly frequent, the soundtrack is by all means excellent and is comprised of more than just MIDIs, and you get to choose your own train whistle. Very, very charming. Depth of chronology, characters and the story itself are refreshingly original.
