It was between this one or Minish Cap. Just pretend it's both.

First of all...Zelda
Second of all ... my first Zelda
And to have a real argument: It includes simply everything that makes Zelda great: exploration, interesting items, interesting sidequests, an immersive world ...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is still for me the best game of its series and what I have to consider my overall favorite Super NES game. I can only describe its impact on me as life-changing. I didn't just play this game at the time it came out, I lived it.

A sprawling adventure, full of accessible yet deep gameplay, and hands-down one of the best musical scores ever crafted for the 16-bit era. From exploration, to dungeon crawling, and boss fights, there's very few games that stay this fun.

Some guy made an exact map of Alttp with Windwaker graphics looks badass.

Filly The video would've been better without the weird whining in broken English breaking everything up, but the artwork is BEAUTIFUL. That's such a cool concept, to keep the "cubic" aspect of sprite-based artwork, but making it cel-chaded.

Aramonde glad you liked it If they ever made an HD type version of this game like there doing with WW, i would want it to be like this.

"The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past" is the only Zelda game I like. It is very fun and has a well-balanced difficulty, many different items, a nice storyline, memorable characters and enemies and - most importantly - challenging dungeons. The soundtrack of this game is great and the graphics are outstanding. The controls are very easy so fighting enemies won't be a problem at all. There are plenty of secrets to discover and the overworld is big and diverse. This Zelda game has something all 3D-Zelda's lack, and that is easy playability and replay value. I played this game in my childhood very often and it's still great fun everytime I beat this game. It just never get boring.

The Super Nintendo version of Zelda has an urgent, dramatic charm that I haven't found in any other Zelda game. The music is intense and upbeat. The boss fights require methodical tactics. The dungeons are filled with puzzles that are tedious, but solvable. As great as the 3D games were, I still miss the old days the most.

This game re-invented the Zelda series. After an average game, like Zelda II, Nintendo needed to do a Zelda as good as the first, they did it, they did it better. The inclusion of two dimensions is for me one of most innovating things ever made in a game and it was repeated later on Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. Is not hard to think this is the best Zelda ever made, even being in pure 16 bits this game can be better than some new Zelda games because of the magic of this title with better dungeous, bosses and characters.

One of the better Zelda adventures for sure. I do prefer some of the later games that have more puzzle-intensive dungeons. On the other hand the game isn't afraid to throw lots of enemies at you at once which makes it refreshingly challenging. The graphics are a little plain compared to some other SNES games but the music is very good. Not my favorite Zelda or SNES game personally but a quality game all the same.

Link to the Past is one of those games that solidifies my stance on the Zelda franchise: I'm not much of a fan, yet I still very much enjoy playing the games. It takes a really good franchise to get me interested, and even if I'm not the biggest Zelda fan, I really like most of the games. LttP is everything great about the original magnified to a sharpened extent. A map with waypoints, the first sighting of the "Dark World" mechanic, and tons of new items made LttP a classic. But what makes this adventure better than others is what I call the best soundtrack in the Zelda franchise (and trust me, that says a LOT). Koji Kondo never disappoints, does he? LttP is one of those games that's playable no matter who you are.
