You know, I was actually reading F. Scott Fitzgerald's most well-known novel when this got publicity, so I thought it was the timing of the century! And boy, was it surreal. After discussing the eyes of Dr. T. J. Eckleburg more than a few times in class, actually FIGHTING them while dodging their laser beams was freaking awesome. The game is criminally short and unfathomably easy, but it's not about making a hardy challenge, it's about hypothesizing what a game adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" would look like during the 8-bit era. Featuring cutscenes and dialogue lifted right from the book, solid gameplay and a damn good soundtrack, the plight of Nick Carraway is an interesting throwback to a much simpler time in this industry.

Completely average platformer in the style of a NES game, which fails to portray what the book is about in a way that's understandable if you haven't read it. All you do is beat people up while collecting generic items in uninspired platform stages, then watch small cutscenes of disconnected events in-between them. Along the way you meet a couple of neutral characters (names not included) who make semi-interesting comments about their surroundings but play no further role in the game. Thankfully short and very easy.
