A movie I liked more as I got older. I think I always liked it more than Toy Story because I felt more of an attachment to appliances than toys. I like cross-country/survival adventures starring a varied group of characters who bicker a lot if Digimon and Lost are any indication. It has my favorite songs of any Disney (or psuedo-Disney) movie, especially City of Light and Worthless. The animation is good and charming without being overblown or distracting. The characters are likable but not unrealisticly good or strong. The characters help others along the way and become better friends but that isn't treated like the point of the movie, just something that naturally happens. There's a lot of dramatic irony, funny dialogue, and an intense climax which is all nice. This was my favorite movie as a teenager and it's still top three.

A toaster. And several inanimate objects. Come to life. And go on a cross-country journey. To find their master.
Even as a kid this story was just too stupid to be believable. I know a lot of people loved it but I didn't fall for it when I saw it at a young age.

Editing … I don't think they were aiming at "believable" when they made this tho

Editing … Believable in the sense that it was meant to be entertaining, like there was magic in this world and all the things you loved would one day come back to you. And it was in the 80s, Idk what kind of drug was particularly popular at the time but they were definitely on it.

Editing … Is this concept really any weirder than Toy Story? I don't think it gets weird until the Mars one.

Editing … I know at one point when we were all kids that we thought our toys would come alive if we weren't around, that plays into that imagination. Brave Little Toaster is still about a toaster, a fricken kitchen appliance, that comes to life. Who the hell had an emotional attachment to their toaster?!

Editing … " I know at one point when we were all kids that we thought our toys would come alive if we weren't around" o.O If you say so. I had a more emotional attachement to my TV and ps2 than to my toys so I guess the leap isn't hard for me.
