Editing … I don't get why they would put in all the effort required to port it to PC, they won't sell enough copies to cover the costs.

Editing … You'd be surprised, I think Valkyria Chronicles sold better on Steam six years later than it did on PS3.

Editing … Times have changed old man, they now port it to Steam, so there's no costs for CDs and cases, and people buy a lot of stuff on Steam, specially if they decide to put a sale up. (The great thing about Steam for developers is that since there's no physical copies, putting up a discount isn't that much of a loss as for consoles.) PC Gaming Master Race

Editing … I think it's a small team usually, all the game is already made and as long as they have the source code they can do their magic. I think ports are usually contracted out too, so they don't even use their own staff (who might be working on new games). Bluepoint Games make really good ports https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluepoint_Games

Well, I beat Dawn of the New World, and I'd give it a 7.5. Neither the classic the first game was, nor the disaster most people claim it is. It has some flaws, but I had a lot of fun with it, so that's all that matters. The set still gets a 10, because I consider it an all time classic paired up with a really nice bonus.

The rating is for the HD update of the first game only. Even if I play the sequel extensively, it won't effect the rating, because I always considered being able to finish the first game as my main incentive for buying this. So now that I just finished it, and can confirm it as being the best in the series, my rating will stick no matter how awful the sequel is. For what it's worth, having played the Gamecube version for about 20 hours, I think the HD update is a very big improvement graphically, and it looks almost PS3 quality now.

Probably one of the best Tales of.
A game with a diverse cast of characters, simple story that keeps changing rytm and objective so it stays ahead of the player and makes for a lengthy adventure.
The battle system is very good and makes for good action moments even if this is one of the first iterations of the linear motion battle system in 3D form.

GRAPHICS COMPARISON: TALES OF SYMPHONIA CHRONICLES - It’s been a decade since Lloyd and friends graced the GameCube. How do the original’s visuals stack up to the HD remake?

This nostalgic RPG revamps the original Tales of Symphonia battle system for the better. It's fun for multiple players and it also tells a dramatic story about coping with a tragic loss.

Where do I even start? This is a reason why the Nintendo GameCube is my favorite 3D-focused Nintendo console, because of hardcore classics like this. This game had an amazing combat system, the complex political and grey-area'd themes of this game just win me over. The way the exposition is handled by doing sidequests, that reward you with more backstory/exposition for the characters was great, as if for people who spend that extra time exploring get more story. I love the way the Tales series (mostly) does this. This is easily one of the greatest RPGs of all time, while sure its localization may be a bit budgeted and has a bit shoddy placement of save points, which put you through unfair endurance rounds, this game still rules.
