Tales from the Borderlands is not a particularly great game (it's even more straightforward than The Walking Dead), but it's a great experience nonetheless. Even though the ending felt rushed, the journey leading up to it and even the end itself are both very much satisfying. Also, you don't even need to know or be a fan of the previous Borderlands games!
Pros: Once again exceptional character development and relationships, fantastic cast (<3 the robos), beautiful art style, superb story and writing, really funny and charming, knows how and when to ofset the lighter moments with the darker ones, marvelous voice acting, good music, can stand on its own, but still has plenty of shoutouts to the fans of the Borderlands franchise
Cons: All the problems The Walking Dead had are still very much present here (terrible engine, janky animations, even more situations that trick you into thinking there's a choice while there actually isn't any, extremely basic gameplay), last episode felt rushed since it hastily (and kinda sloppily) tied up loose ends and crammed/skimmed over events that could easily span over an entire season

Probably the best and most memorable cast of characters since Mass Effect.

Just finished Ep.3 and it's fantastic so far. Further confuses me why Walking Dead is so highly praised when Wolf Among Us and Tales are so much better.

The Borderlands universe is pretty interesting when it doesn't have to be coupled with the repetitive and uninspiring gameplay of the mainline games. As far as I am concerned, the writing in TFTB is some of Telltales best work so far.

I've enjoyed the Borderlands games, but have never been terribly engrossed with the setting and storyline.. I don't remember much of the first game and never finished the second game, so I was quite a skeptic when Telltale announced they'd be doing a game set in Borderlands. Well, consider me a convert... I was wrapped up in this first episode right out of the gate, purchased the season pass and will be eagerly awaiting the remaining episodes.

Telltale Games have been on a complete roll over the last couple of years. With their acclaimed version of the hit television series, The Walking Dead, and the also acclaimed, The Wolf Among Us, it seems the next appropriate move would to be woo another fan base, this time pointing at Borderlands. Earlier in the year we received a short but sweet cinematic trailer premiering two unknown characters (and Handsome Jack!) in an all too familiar world. Borderlands 2, in it's own right, received widespread acclaim and now it's time to take the left turn and leave it to the talented developers to take the series in the much desired direction of a episodic series that Telltale fans have come to know and love. They did nothing but advance this excitement at this years E3 giving us more details on the characters (they couldn't stress the characters enough actually,) gameplay, and story, that will release it's first episode, hopefully, later this year.

Since I started playing The Wolf Among Us a few days after episode 1 came out, I have been in love with Telltale Games. I don't know how they're going to incorporate a bazillion guns into a game like that, but it'll certainly be interesting. And I hope I can get some cool stuff for my other Borderlands games.
