Look at me complaining about the amount of boards in this game, three years ago. Nowadays Nintendo puts EVEN LESS content in their games, which makes Super Mario Party look like it's filled to the brim with content. It actually has a really good roster of playable characters, while the successor to Super Mario Party, called "Mario Party Superstars", only has 10 playable characters, which I find pathetic. Mario Party Superstars doesn't even have a "Doubles" mode where you can team up with a friend, it's all gone.

I am so done with the Super Mario brand in 2022. Maybe I should make a YouTube video about it sometime, just so I can vent about what Nintendo does wrong these days. Years ago I knew already that Nintendo's going down a bad path, so I changed my previous username to something original because I don't want to be associated with Nintendo anymore.

Editing … OMG, not another Super Mario Party game? Aren't they like 600 of these now? You should link me to your youtube too, I fancy bashing Nintendo.

"Unfortunately, there are only four boards to choose from in this mode – three of which are available right away and a fourth one must be unlocked. For some perspective, the first Mario Party game back in 1998 had eight boards. After selecting a board, you can choose between 10 turns, 15 turns, or 20 turns, but be warned, there is no save feature – so you’ll need to finish your match in one sitting or rely on the Switch’s sleep mode."

I'm... I'm speechless. Why does Nintendo get away with putting LESS content in their games while charging the same or even more?

Well, four boards is really the final number.

If I had pre-ordered the game, I would have cancelled it by now.

    Nintendo's strategy these days:
    °reveals game°
°everything about said game seems good except for a few uncertainties°
°missing information remain missing until game launch°

One of these missing information is this: How many boards does this game actually have? Nintendo has been very quiet on this one, and probably for a good reason:
    https://nintendoeverything.com/european-super-mario-party-site-lists-only-four-boards/

If this only has four then I'm definitely not gonna drop a 60 bucks on this. It should be at least DOUBLE that number, especially considering the fact that they are smaller than in the previous Mario Party's.

Nintendo seems to offer free content post-launch (such as in Mario Tennis Aces or Splatoon) but this is a practice that I won't support. If I pay full price, I want the FULL game IMMEDIATELY. If this trend continues then I'll have to buy anything Nintendo at least six months after release when the game is actually complete. It won't take long until Nintendo charges for post-launch content...

The only good thing that Nintendo has shown at E3. It looks like the classic gameplay from Mario Party 1-8 is returning. It also looks great graphically and it has a quite sizeable cast of playable characters (over 20). According to MarioWiki, this game is developed by Nintendo itself instead of NdCube...

Editing … Because they're starting with the Super now. Then it'll get the numbers on the end, then the HD, the 3D, the U and god knows whatever else. Don't worry though, it's all the same game

Editing … The cool thing about Mario Party is all the new features from the consoles. A Mario Party on a PS1 and on a PS4 would feel very much the same, but a Mario Party in a Nintendo 64, Wii, DS or a Switch feels completely different because the consoles force the games to be played differently.
