This movie made me stupid. It is, without a doubt, the worst cinematic abomination I have ever seen. It makes the Super Mario Bros. Movie look like Citizen Kane. If you replaced all the character's names it still wouldn't make it any better. To start, the overall acting is fine but the story is inexcusably bad. Kreuk shows herself to be a good action star but her legs don't compare to Chun-Li's thighs. Charlie Nash is supposed to be military, not Interpol. Bison, who is JUST an evil businessman, is Irish-descended and the only time he actually fights is at the end, and even then you only get a little glimpse that he may have powers. Balrog barely hits anyone with his fists, he uses a gun more often. Liu Kang is a playable character, LOL. But really, Robin Shou, who played Liu Kang in the Mortal Kombat movies, plays Gen, and disappears at one point possibly dead only to come back 30 mins later. Rose is billed as Bison's daughter. Vega gets the worst treatment of all: he's ugly, black-haired, deep-voiced, and the antithesis of the original character who's an effeminate, proud, bullfighter. Instead they made him to be a professional assassin, whom Chun-Li takes out in exactly one minute. Seriously. Watch the timer on the movie. One minute. The CGI is second-rate; from spinning distorted flat images to explosions that don't quite look as big as they hoped for, more money went into getting the song licenses for the club scene than the special effects. Spoilers: Gen lives and Bison dies, they all live happily ever after except for Rose who no longer has a father. If that were true then there would be no need for any of the Street Fighter games, it retcons everything. If you want to cleanse your pallet from this, watch Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist instead. It was fan-made and is far superior than this dung pile.
