Chun Li's stage theme is now my alarm clock song. I was having trouble waking up, so I just looked up the best songs for alarms and I just had to choose something that wasn't especially musical. Someone on an Internet forum used Chun Li's theme in Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. I figured that it had enough sirens and repetitive melodies to work. And it worked.

I would choose a different soundtrack, but then it wouldn't feel so video game-y. If anyone has a suggestion, just write a comment. I need ideas...yawn.

Editing … Cool. That's a lot better than Coldplay's Viva La Vida. I tried searching for good wake-up songs and all I got were a bunch of crappy junk from Coldplay or Miley Cyrus or s**t. And I'm not just gonna choose Arcade Fire's "Wake Up." Lol. Spotify's dumb list of wake-up tunes...

Editing … lol, one time we were playing with like max rounds no time limit games and got stuck in chun li's stage, it was kind of embarassing, my sister got so annoyed by the music. But I love the rest of the soundtrack. (mostly) I'm considering using it in an RPG Maker game. Unless I decide to go with only Tekken music. It's nice to stick to a specific franchise if possible, satisfies my ocd. :p

The new fans might consider this one of the hippest, coolest fighting games on Earth, but people used to hate this game. Vehemently. The parry system and the fast pace of the animation threw all the new players off. Over time, everyone adjusted to the new style. Now it's one of the all-time best fighters, because it proved that sometimes a fresher soundtrack, complex controls and an original graphic style can improve the entire flow of a video game.

Editing … Well...it's always one of THOSE games. With a pros-only focus. But more importantly, dem characters. Q looks like a flasher. Twelve looks like a human squid. And Necro has the same voice as Clown Man from Mega Man 8. Lol. Yeah. One of THOSE games.

Editing … I found the reaction time seriously lacking, it'd have been quicker to write Ryu a letter asking him to punch, then posted it second class.

Editing … Lol. He has to go through 20 frames or something just to do a single punch.

Editing … Looks like Street Fighter 2 will always remain my favourite fighting game. I'm considering trying the PlayStation games though, Alpha or something.

Editing … Alpha is good. It's pretty much the transition point before Capcom went all crazy with the 100 frames of animation and hip-hop soundtrack. Lol. I have no clue which Alpha version is best, but I usually play Alpha 3 because it has the most characters.

Editing … Alpha also started the ridiculous storyline where M. Bison is the leader of the Shedaloo in his quest for world domination or destruction or something. And Cammy became one of Bison's fighter dolls or something. Neon Genesis Evangelion in a fighting game. It's as cheesy as it sounds.

Editing … The controls are not complex at all. Parrying is done by pressing forward. You literally cannot get simpler than that. And it's completely optional. You can play the game just fine as a graphically souped up SF2. p.s. anyone who doesn't prefer SF3 over 2 or Alpha is dead to me.

3rd Strike is what revolutionized gaming; It took competitive fighting games into a whole new level in terms of tournament play and despite its controversial cast, the game achieves a top rate of fluidness along with a superb hip-hop soundtrack, well-animated sprites and the insertion of the parry system.

Third Strike is considered by most hardcore SF fans to be the best and deepest in the series. I agree with them in that it's one of the best in the entire franchise, as it introduced bevy of new mechanics like parrying, a judgement system, and EX Specials. Third Strike is also notable for its high-quality soundtrack and colorful graphics, which gave 2D fighters a beautiful edge over the climbing 3D fighters. Third Strike was the last original Street Fighter to be released (not counting II: Anniversary Edition) until Street Fighter IV would reignite the series, but Third Strike made the series dormant with a bang. Only downside though? Fucking. Gill. What a goddamn cheapass.

One of the best 2D fighter of all time, and my favorite entry in the series. It is also the most technically demanding game in the series, and can be downright intimidating to get a handle on, but it's fun enough even for noobs to mind too much. Still beautiful to look at too. I lowered my score for it due to the imbalanced roster (full of notoriously bad matchups) but most people will find all of the characters have plenty of tools for non-tourney level play. Everyone should at least try this game out.
