Man, this whole novel is dense with superstring theory s**t and quantum physics. Normally I'd pass on such a subject, but my new job has me testing a lot of stuff on computers. So yeah, this visual novel is pretty awesome.

...Or at least it would be awesome, if people have the patience for science mumbo jumbo. All I know is that I really loved the anime. So yeah, the Elite version of Steins Gate is like playing through an anime with a lot more text. Hmm...

Y'know, the original version of this game bored me so much that I forgot to play it. Then a so-called "Elite" version popped up on shelves and in the Playstation Store. I hate to say it, but Steins;Gate Elite is the definitive version. The additional anime cutscenes make it much more alive.

In all honesty, the anime was really what made this game famous in the first place. Normally I'd balk at recommending a new version of the same thing, but this visual novel needed some animation. So yeah, it's well worth the purchase.

There's also a ton of inner monologue with Okabe, so I appreciate any sort of animation to break the monotony of the original visual novel. Oof.

Here's another 2009 classic that no one in the West had ever played for six or seven years. Steins;Gate is probably the best-written story for a visual novel, invoking every deep science idea imaginable. Well, considering that it's all about microwave time travel.

Editing … I started playing this, but I was a bit bored because I hadn't managed to catch up to where I'd reached in the anime. Once I push past that and everything is new to me, I'm sure I'll have a much better experience.

Editing … Yeah, it's slow, so I haven't gotten further into it. I got distracted by my second run of Parasite Eve. The dialogue is good, though. I love the art style. I'd love to finish this before Hyperdimension Neptunia. The weeaboo game...

Editing … I haven't been gaming much these last couple of months I am afraid :( I also got distracted away from the game by 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and I have pretty much played nothing since. As soon as I am finished with Batman, Steins;Gate is gonna get my full attention :P

I can see why this game was made into a TV show. It has a fantastic, gripping story with lots of time travel thrills. Some of the sci-fi ideas are really creative. Great characters. This one goes straight up near the top of my replay list.
