On ps Vita it says I've played 99 hours of stardew valley so far with my current save file, while my girlfriend is simultaneously playing the ps4 version (currently at like 115 hours). It's neat sharing a hobby and seeing how differently we approach the same game.

Editing … I know that feel. My fiancée has completely overtaken me in Assassin's Creed: Origins. She was only about level 15 when I completed the main questline. Now she has purchased and completed all the DLC, maxed out her skill tree and completed every quest bar 3. It's frightening, but also awesome to see her latch onto the series :)

In a world where two nations are locked in combat. The religious theocratic nation vs. the plutocratic nation battle it out in extreme combat.

But you're not doing that, you're living on a farm chatting it up with the locals in this lighthearted farming simulator. Sebastian is the best waifu.

    It's also got catchy music

Started playthrough 2, or 3 if you count my 20 hours as Steve McButt (I didn't realize how much I'd grow to care about the game at the time clearly). This time, I created the character Jess, who looks kind of tough like Leah. Last time was Seafoam, who had long green hair and looked very sweet. I actually really loved the character design I gave Seafoam. She looked like she belonged in Stardew Vally, like the game creator made her.

The early game is much more tedious and grindy than it is later on. You have to focus more to get the most out of days. I can see why the game didn't instantly become one of my favorites.

I want to see how much I can do in 2 years. I think I'll marry Penny this time, or maybe Leah. The only girl I like nearly as much as Abagail is Robin, but she's married. It felt weird not kissing Abagail on sight lulz.

Though I don't know if Stardew Valley will make it into my top 10 games, I have to say I've talked about it more than any other game. I'm not usually into things that are this much about details. I'm willing to do much more tedious, repetitive, mundane stuff in this game than I am in most games.

I've spent many in game weeks just checking to see if the traveling saleswoman has a fiddlehead fern and it hasn't happened. This is getting silly, going to bed so soon after waking up each day. Maybe I'll just start a new playthrough, and if I found out how to get fiddlehead ferns in that playthrough, I'll obtain one in this playthrough and quickly get the achievement for cooking all recipes. That's the last item I need. (As always, don't tell me unless it's in a spoiler tag.)

I FINALLY FOUND THE EASY WAY TO GET HARDWOOD! Phew, this means it doesn't matter if gay couples can't have kids in the game, it'll be easy to get the 150 hardwood and whatever hardwood I need for other things on a different playthrough. It was so dumb of me not to see the thing that lets me get the easy hardwood earlier, I'm fucking blind I swear, just like how long it took me to find Linus' basket. My playthrough as Seafoam might be coming to a close soon. I just want to do every recipe. I'm growing most of what I need. The only other things I need are a fiddlehead fern and maybe garlic. I don't know how to get a fiddlehead fern (don't tell me unless you put it in a spoiler tag) but the traveling salesperson has one occasionally (which is how I completed the community center) so I just have to keep sleeping until the shop has one lulz. I'm going to be doing a lot of wasting days from now on. I still take care of the animals though cause I'd feel sad otherwise. I sold some of them so it'd take less time.

I have 10 or less each of artifcats/minerals to obtain, fish to catch, and items to ship, but I might save all that for another playthrough, though if I discover some of those things on another playthrough, I might jump back to this playthrough to do it here also.

Really, the only achievement I'm truly scared of is one of the secret ones. One is just time consuming, but the other is evil.

SpoilerIn the northwest section of the woods left of the house, you can go to a little area called the Secret Woods, marked initially as ??? on your map. 12 hardwood can be gathered there every single day. There's also a couple other goodies there.

I finally got all the hardwood I needed in Stardew Valley. That was some of the craziest grinding I've ever done. I really hope two girls can have kids in the game cause otherwise I'll have to do it all over again someday! That said, I had a weirdly large amount of fun with it. Because the hardwood I found was so rare, every few I found was satisfying.
