Saved!Filly VanilliEditing … Yes, she made a movie about a fictional, autistic, biracial girl but cast a white, allistic girl wearing brownface in the role and instructed the actress, Maddie Ziegler (who Sia has been grooming since Maddie was like 11) to "act autistic" in a manner that was very offensive and one-dimensional, despite Maddie even voicing her discomfort with what she was being asked to do. Sia nonetheless patted herself on the back for being So Progressive. Even after the autistic community told her her movie was ableist as hell, she doubled down on her BS. She even partnered with Autism Speaks, which the autistic community recognizes to be a hate group against us, as part of her "research" for the movie. Thankfully even people not approaching the movie from a disability advocacy perspective found the movie to be fucking terrible and iirc it was nominated for at least one Razzy award, possibly multiple.
