Not enough characters to describe my love for this game :(

Perhaps its most standout feature is its battle system. Battles in the Shadow Hearts' series are carried out in a turn-based format, with the main focus being its timing-based Judgment Ring system. This Judgment Ring system rewards the player for their skill in battle, rather than just relying on plowing stats into your characters. This creates a scenario whereby the player themselves improves alongside the characters. Throw into the mix the ability to perform combo attacks, control your enemies position in battle, area of effect attacks, a diverse range of character abilities, the added tension of making sure you maintain your characters sanity bar, and you have one of the most fun turn-based systems out there.

Also, the end credit theme is one of the most beautiful songs ever and I always feel a little sad when the credits roll and I have to say goodbye to the zany loveable cast. Still, there's always New Game Plus ;)

Are you ready for the man festival?! No, I wasn't ether, but that made it all the more awesome. Shadow Hearts Covenant takes a more lighthearted approach than It's predecessor. There are tons of sexual innuendo's, which lighten the dark overtones of the game. Covenant is an RPG set in WWI, which is an interesting change of pace. The battle system plays like Final Fantasy meets guitar hero (that makes a lot more sense when you've played it, but believe me it's accurate). You don't need to play the Shadow Hearts games in order, but it'll be an added bonus if you do. All I can say now is that I really love this quirky game and it's really worth a playthrough.
