PlayStation Network, officially abbreviated PSN, is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service provided by Sony Computer Entertainment for use with the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation Vita video game consoles. The PlayStation Network is the video game portion of the Sony Entertainment Network Sony's second console, the PlayStation 2, had a limited number of online features in select games via its online network. It required a Network Adaptor, which was available as an add-on for original models, and integrated into the hardware on slimline models. However, Sony provided no unified online service for the system, so support for network features was specific to each game and there was no interoperability of cross-game presence. In March 2006, Sony announced the online network for its upcoming PlayStation 3 system at the 2006 PlayStation Business Briefing meeting in Tokyo, Japan, tentatively named "PlayStation Network Platform". Saved!I understand and agree completely with them updating the Trophy levels but it feels so weird. I jumped from Level 18 to Level 309 overnight. Especially since I've had a PSN account since 2006.... It'll be cool to have some actual progression again though. I can imagine a lot of folks really stopped caring about trophies when they got to the teen levels where you needed a Plat just to get any noticeable progression.

I removed all the cards from my account so I couldn't be charged if I get hacked. Might be a good idea.-

Saved!Husky WingEditing … I'd say it's totally safe to buy from PSN, but do NOT allow it to remember your payment info. Just use it, and the next time you need to buy from PSN, go through the setup of entering payment info again. This may work differently with Paypal, you might be even safer going that way.

Oh I think I get it, your method simply safeguards against people hijacking your psn account from using your cards to make purchases. (and from gaining your card info, assuming it's possible for anyone with your psn to see that info) Anyway, I added the game to my cart and was just about to add a payment method. I find it strange though I can't simply pay using PayPal without putting it on file as a payment method. That's actually the phrasing Sony uses. It says I have no payment methods "on file". It's like they're TRYING to give me cold feet.

Saved!rockshard PhDEditing … Ok I was about to add my PayPal but then it shows my bank and last four digits of my bank number (it's the one tied to my PayPal account) asking me if I want to use that as a payment method, at least if there isn't enough money in my PayPal. Umm.. if there isn't enough in my PayPal why not just prevent me from buying whatever I was about to buy? Meh, I'm thinking I should stop being impatient and just use eBay.
