I had fun hacking into this system, but honestly, the PSP party didn't last too long for me. Except for Ys Seven and Legend of Heroes: TITS.

Editing … It's a good RPG machine, but the Vita rendered it mostly obsolete.

Editing … I did download a nice Steins;Gate theme, though. I mean, it isn't official at all, but the artists made it look pretty legit. Lol.

Editing … Oh yea, themes. Man, I remember the days of downloading PS3 themes too. There were some really good ones out there.

Editing … There are almost no good rpgs on the system aside from Final Fantasy Tactics, Phantasy Star Portable 2, and Rengoku 2. PSP excels more in non RPGs. There are the Armored Core, Ace Combat, and Silent Hill titles, as well as Pangya Fantasy Golf, and Dissidia.

Editing … I thought the Falcom RPGs were cool. Then again, I'm always crazy for Falcom.

Editing … P3P eh? Based on my experience there was not a single good thing about it. Town exploration is menu based, dungeon exploration looked and felt like a low budget DS game, the battle music is just about the worst thing imaginable, and the story is completely unbelievable. (an after-school club for slapping demons, with a non speaking protagonist) (It also makes no sense to me that a government agency would design a gun shaped object that was meant to be pointed at yourself and issue it to high schoolers unless, of course, they existed in a videogame that wanted to have that as a thing, for edginess or whatever.)

Editing … I know it's an "argument from authority", but for what it's worth, its Metacritic score is 89 so I'm not the only one who likes it. Personally, I don't mind the menu based (visual novelish) exploration, graphics aren't that important to me and have you ever heard of "Suspension of disbelief" ? With that said, it might not be your cup of tea and that's alright.

Editing … P3P was not the worst game, considering that no one had ever tried such a big game in a portable form. The 3D boss battles might have even pushed the system to the limits, because there's a lot of slowdown. So adding a female protagonist was a welcome bonus.

Editing … There were a lot of really good RPGs/ports of good RPGs. The problem was that UMD system. It was using a minidisc slot that was pretty easy to break. The UMD discs were also fragile. That's pretty much why people were rampantly hacking the system.

Ah yes, emulating your favorite PSP games at a breathtaking 7 frames per second is so much fun. Thanks ppsspp devs!
