Editing … As a type of tea, Oolong is simply perfect. It's a middle ground between Green and Black, sheer fermentation level-wise. It has amount of caffeine almost exactly like the one that Black produces, but color-wise and clearness-wise this is actually a green tea. As for Tieguanyin, it's simply the best kind. It's grown and produced only in one specific region of China, taste-wise it has very distinct (but quite subtle at the same time) notes of fruits and honey, and smell-wise it has notes of green leafs and rose petals. This is mainly produced by Uncle Lee (Lee Rie-Ho, founder of the Tenfu group, one of the most notorious and largest Oolong makers in the world, officially #2 tea-making company in China, and of absolute top-notch quality, both tea itself and it's packaging-wise). It's quite expensive (12000 rubles, or 170$, per 500g box is a lot, but there's six individual mini-boxes in a package, and each mini-box has ten vacuum-sealed individual portions in it, making it 60 servings in total. And each individual serving can be brewed up to three times in a row, by "1 brewing per 1 liter of water" formula, so you can actually redo the already-brewed leafs the second and third time over, so count those 60 servings as 180, 3 by 60), but absolutely worth it. It's THE absolutely undisputed top-dog of the worldwide Oolong market. I will easily recommend this to anyone, anywhere, any day and any time, regardless of it's high price. Just GODLIKE.

Editing … I bought some very nice Oolong when I was in China, that'll last me a year, but after that I will consider this tea.

Editing … What kind of Oolong that was? These days Tenfu's Oolong is the most dominating mark of tea in China and all neighboring regions, so it's actually harder to find Oolong NOT from Uncle Lee, in Asia. It's highly likely that your Oolong is also from Tenfu.

Editing … 500g box I've mentioned above is indeed pricey, but those 60 (up to 180, if redoing, which can be done up to three times per individual service bag) portions easily last for at least two full years-worth of drinking tea (unless you're drinking your tea every day, which is definitely a no-no, that's an extremely unhealthy and outright dangerous thing to do, especially when it comes down to drinking such moderately fermented green tea as Oolong), so such high price pretty much redeems itself by the end of it, in my personal opinion. And since it's packaged extremely well both "design of the package"-wise and "quality of the packaging"-wise, this is also an extremely good gift to buy as a present for someone you highly respect/adore. This tea is a real status thing.
