A weird little experimental freeware game where you you play as a secret octopus. They took the odd choice of simulating the awkwardness of an octopus trying to be a human through using a really bizarre control scheme. Either this will frustrate the crap out of you, or you'll be laughing your head off at the chaos that happens when try to accomplish simple tasks like objects from one place to another or even walking in a straight line. Something this strange definitely isn't for everyone, but given that it will cost you nothing to play, I think it's worth giving a shot.

This is an innovative casual "adventure" game that deals with one octopus being the father in a human family who doesn't have a clue about him, and he's trying to escape from this odd situation. "Octodad" has a charming premise & concept but the execution is simply bad. The graphics are of low quality; the music is fitting but boring. And the controls are horrible: "being clumsy" and "being frustrating" are two separate things. The game has a low learning curve, is family-friendly, short, cute and not demanding. Interestingly, it subliminally teaches the player - arguably so - to "be a good / unsuspicious father" by being the lap dog of wife & kids. Certainly not the dev's intention. Still, I'm not sure what to think of this.
