I\'ve never disliked a Smash game, but it\'s not something I get excited about, so what else ya got? Uh huh, Mario Party, some Fire Emblem shit and.... that\'s it, huh? No Metroid Prime? Wow Nintendo, you, Square Enix and EA are all really gunning for last place, eh? I was thinking about getting myself a Switch this summer for my birthday and this drought on the horizon has really killed my interest.

Stephanie Taylor I was pleasantly surprised, considering I was really only expecting to see Smash this year from Nintendo. But Fire Emblem looks great (been thirsting for a new one to play since I skipped Fates), and I'm looking forward to Pokemon as well.

Sandy Vich I wanted Metroid, I wanted Bayonetta 3 and got neither. Nintendo always seems to knock one out of the park one year (2007 and 2010 for Wii, 2014 for Wii U, 2017 for Switch) and then just rest on their laurels for the couple years afterward. It's getting really tiresome.

Nintendo to launch Classic Mini NES console this C...

There will be a new Nintendo console out this year, but not the successor to the Wii U. Instead it’s a 30-in-1 palm-sized version of the NES.

Husky Wing Does anyone know if this Mini can play cartridges?

Waluigifan ! You can't and apparently you can't download additional games. Which makes this hardware pointless in my opinion. The price for the controller (9.99) is really good though.

Husky Wing Yep. Pointless.

You better show Metroid and some Zelda in E3. Dont need to see anything else. You should just throw everything else in garbage bin and bring in some Metroid and Zelda footage.

"It shows that the games industry is, in fact, so volatile that even a powerhouse like Nintendo is not impervious to it.

Nintendo's current game plan is likely to provide enough runway to develop a full strategy and rollout that capitalises on the current market changes.

The thing to remember about Nintendo is to never count it out."

Motherfucking cowards.

While Nintendo's official statement on the matter of Alison Rapp's firing strives to distance the company from anything related to the orchestrated online campaign of harassment and defamation that was raging against her, their timing in dealing with the issue is dubious at best," said Edwards, in a statement published by Gamesbeat.

"Unfortunately, the company seems oblivious to the consequences of their actions, not realizing the perceived victory it handed to the online hate groups who are now pursuing the dismissal of other women game developers by derision and defamation to their companies.

"By now, we would expect that all game development and publishing companies would be fully aware of negative social media dynamics and be more discerning of online feedback, as well as more protective of their employees - especially their employees of diverse backgrounds. Many have become proactive and aware but this industry obviously needs to make more progress.”

nodley Green You have to remember that you represent your place of work at all times. You may well have certain views, but you should keep them off social media. And if you have another job glamour modelling you should have a false identity and not include your workplace products. Her sacking was thoroughly deserved imo.

Not Important Well, when you are a public figure of a company that makes toys for kids, and you moonlight as a glamour model in tiiny tiny outfits, and write bullshit tweets like the ones Sean posted, it's pretty understandable that she got let off. I don't know if it had something to do with the "internet hate mob", but what I do now is that what she did was apparently against company policy, and they had every right to fire her for knowingly breaking it.

Demi Axersia Sorry Gries, but she signed a contract agreeing to not seek out additional employment, and she broke it. Done. Doesn't matter that she made sexy photos (which she apparently posted to her twitter despite using a false identity...), doesn't matter that she's written a thesis on child pornography laws and made numerous tweets that Nintendo clearly did not know about when they hired her. Unofficially, of course, it does matter, but luckily for Nintendo they don't need to acknowledge that. They can just say she broke contract and be done with it. Of course, the whole internet hate mob stuff is unfortunate, especially since someone like her would've clearly loved to have the 13 y/o Xenoblade X character walk around in a bikini and the booby slider stay in (in fact, there's a tweet of her out there stating exactly that), and she had nothing to do with the censorship. I certainly don't agree with targeting her over that, but all in all, she's not a person worth defending. Same with that guy who got fired from Nintendo last year for being a little too frank about their localization policies. Sucks that you lost your job, but all you had to do was not do the thing you did.
