Taking photos and surfing the Web was a big deal for the third edition of the Nintendo DS, but aside from that, it didn't have much. In fact, the system's DSiWare store had very few downloadable games, aside from Bomberman Blitz and the newest version of Cave Story. Wayforward actually ended up becoming the top developer for the system, releasing classics such as Mighty Flip Champs and Shantae: Risky's Revenge.

The DSi was a cool networking upgrade for the DS hardware, but the system's processor still couldn't handle Internet connections very well. It took about five more years before Nintendo fully utilized the power of Internet connectivity. Even then, everyone still got the sense that Nintendo was too obsessed with Internet privacy, because each friend needs to submit their 16-character friend code. Oh well.

I don't think much can be said about this platform. For the most part it is another model of the ds but it also has exclusive online titles that are somehow invincible to emulation so far seemingly. These titles are small but enjoyable experiences that are slightly more arcade like than the main ds titles but however the games using the camera rarely worked meaning you should stay away from those titles. I can't speak for the retail exclusives but I would assume they aren't that good considering they are only exclusive for the camera which as I said doesn't really work for the games but is ok for taking photos with some fun editing tools. Definitely not a GoPro + Photoshop though. But I assume you would know that.
