Editing … Isn't it, like, a remaster of a remaster? Lessee, it started as a DS game (srsly), upgraded to HD on the PS3 and now it's...4K or whatever that new thing is. And in the future, we can experience it with virtual reality goggles, 5K HD and...I dunno...plasma X-ray vision.

I somehow found the Japanese version of the Ni No Kuni Wizard's Companion at a library book sale. Y'know, the original book that came with the Nintendo DS version (seriously). First of all, how is anyone supposed to figure out what this at first glance? The cover is...unreadable. It's not even as if it's in Japanese--the title is written using the game's Nazca symbols!

Anyways, it's a great book for learning Japanese. I just read it with help from the English video game. The drawings are just f***ing amazing. However, the book sale organizers kept thinking that I was crazy when I tried to explain what it was. Lol.

I keep laughing at the fact that there is a monster called a "bougie." Think it's funny to oppress the working class with your greater access to means of production, do you, you piece of shit classist eel? #communistjokes

Soooooo grindy... I don't feel like I skip a lot of battles in particular, but the bosses kick my butt (even if I exploit their weaknesses) unless I spend at least an extra hour grinding in each new area.

Editing … This is the only thing that is preventing me from jumping right in. I've heard from so many players that it's insanely grind-dependent that it's putting me off... I'll probably give it a shot at some point.

Editing … Grindy? I found the game way too easy and felt like I needed to be getting into less battles, not more, which is why I gave up on it.

Editing … There's powerful critters you can find from backtracking a bit "I think". It's a bit like Persona where, if you try and just go straight through, you always feel a bit under-powered. I got halfway through the game... then assignments piled up, I'll restart it after Nier I think.

SpoilerWow what a ride. In one day, I waltzed into a town full of Scottish accent-having ugly runts, crawled up a giant fairy's butthole and got expelled through her vagina. Glad to be done with this section of the game.

Editing … imo it's a marker of significance in someone's life when they name their RPG characters after you. I just especially like to do it in this game because the familiars are silly looking and I get to compare one of my friends to a monkey :P

Although Ni No Kuni isn't quite my favorite RPG of all time, it sure has some of the best graphics that I've ever seen. It has some of the best 3D cel-shaded animation that I've ever seen. The orchestral soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi is magnificent. I'd rank this game higher if it didn't keep throwing me all these time-consuming side quests. I still love the imagery and the storyline, though. Ni No Kuni is one of the most creative games I have ever played.

I have to say I haven't really played much of this game. So this should be a clue as to my feeling to the game. First impressions are astronomical! Battle is heart pounding and really requires you to think ad move fast. The world is huge and looks great. And it really a feel good game after your whole mother dying epidemic but whatever. I love it and you would too!
